Coffee Morning with Barry Buzan/Lecture with Dr Rao

Dear all,

Following our first successful pub quiz featuring John Sweeney of BBC fame, and having enjoyed Kim Hutching’s coffee morning, we are pleased to announce two further up-coming events:

The Grimshaw Club would like to invite you to the long-awaited Coffee Morning with the infamous Professor Barry Buzan.

The discussion will be centred around Barry’s latest research topic, “The missing 19th century in IR”.

Don’t miss the opportunity to challenge the great master mind before he retires at the end of this year.

The event will be held in D109, 11-12 am. Arrive early to avoid disappointment.

We have an amazing lecture lined up for you next week given by Dr Rao, the International Security mastermind at SOAS.

Dr Rao will be talking about his exciting new book: “Third World Protest: Between Home and the World”.

The book explores the relationship between cosmopolitanism and nationalism in postcolonial protest, and looks at how sources of threat to Human Rights are perceived.

You will get the chance to purchace the book on the day.

When: Thursday 25th November, at 6:30pm
Where: STC.S221

See you there!
